Seat Belt - A Mandatory Issue for Safe driving

Buckle up or Perish - That's what the south Australian police message to drivers.

South Australian police are nabbing 22 people a day for not wearing a seatbelt, with atleast 8275 fines for seatbelt offences issued in 2011.

The traffic police have issued figures that 10 of the 39 people killed in fatal crashes on SA roads this year died because they were not wearing a seatbelt. They also have advised that many of the deaths were preventable by simply wearing a seatbelt.

New Speed cameras in Adelaide

There will soon be four more new fixed point safety cameras installed on major roads in Known speeding zones in Adelaide.These cameras which are installed between intersections are designed to detect speeding cars and will be in operation from september 2012.

They are now installed now on
-Chandlers Hill Road , Happy valley
-Fredrick Road, West Lakes
-Montague Road, Ingle Farm
-Tapleys Hill Road, West Beach

At present Adelaide has only one fixed speed camera which is installed in Bakewell underpass.

Driving at Night

Driving at Night is not similar to what we drive during day.

As a driver one should have very less distraction and always be extra alert when driving at night.

when Driving late at night there is a greater chance of risk.

The drivers in age group 16-24 have high risk when driving at late night.

So one should be very alert, go easy on the accelerator and go to brake early
